Take a look at what our travelers have to say about their experiences with our travel specialist Wanda S. Radetti and the services of the VisitCroatia.com - Tasteful Croatian Journeys team
We had the trip of a lifetime in Croatia and wanted to thank you and Iva for all your help and guidance. We thought our itinerary was a perfect balance of Dubrovnik/Split as well as Istria and Zagreb - we feel like we had a great overview of Croatia. In every city your guides and drivers were great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Your suggestion of spending a day on a boat made for an amazing and memorable day. And all the hotels you suggested were perfect, as were your restaurant suggestions. We packed in a lot in 10 days but everything was so well planned we didn't have to worry and could just relax and enjoy beautiful Croatia. We can’t wait to go back to Croatia soon!

AMAZING! Is the word Jason and I will always use to describe our Honeymoon vacation to Croatia. We were in great hands from the time we left Cincinnati, OH to the minute we returned home. The way you and your team tailored our 2 week trip was as though you knew us personally and was completely flawless.
We were able to visit a variety of places throughout Croatia and everyone who had contact with us was sincere, friendly and so generous. Our drivers treated us like family and we loved that they did not just drive us from here to there, they were personal tour guides as well. The short 2 hour tours around the variety of different cities were as if we were walking the cities with our friends. The Hotel Accommodations were Beautiful and the Restaurant Recommendations were Excellent!
We will always cherish our Honeymoon travel and we have promised each other we will not wait 10 years to return to Croatia! We will definitely be in contact with you and your team.
Thank You All For Everything!

Adjusting to the time change, but otherwise we are safely back in DC after a very successful trip.
Could you please charge $50 to our credit card for gratuity for Iva. We appreciated her help. Everything turned out fine. We really liked the Hotel Lone in Rovinj. Having a corner room was definitely worth the extra money; otherwise we would have had a small room with a limited view. I could have spent the week there. The Hotel Park in Split was very nice.
All of our drivers were great, especially Salvo. He was the driver from Rovinj to Split via my wife's family village. That was a great day and Salvo was the perfect person to have with us that day.
Thank you for your restaurant suggestions. The Meneghetti was good, especially the wine. We really liked the Kapetanska Kuca in Mali Ston, Damir & Ornella in Novigrad, Zlatna Ribica and Konoba Varos in Split and the Dubravkin Put in Zagreb. (I don't think most Americans would like the Zlatna Ribica, but we were thrilled to have smelts. And, they were nice people.)
Another meal that we had that we liked was in Livade, outside Motovun. (I think it was called Konoba Darajana.) We had scrambled eggs with wild asparagus, scrambled eggs with white truffles and gnocchi with black truffles. It is a small restaurant/bar near the truffle auction. A good stop.
We were very pleased with all of our drivers. They were very congenial, helpful, and accommodating. Phillip did a great job driving in the rain to Sarajevo. And, Nareem gave us the grand tour of Mostar and a wonderful late lunch at Mali Ston. We were happy. Unfortunately we can't remember the name of the driver to Pula (we think it was something like Raymond). Again, a good day.
We went to Hum on the way to Rovinj, with Cedomir. He did give us a good history of the area from atop the fortress in Trsat. And, we did enjoy the restaurant that he took us too. It was a fun day.
The driver Salvo was great, he drove us to my wife's family village on the way to Split. He went above and beyond what we expected. In fact one of the villagers was so pleased that he climbed the plum tree and shook it to give us some of the best plums we have had in years to take with us. Salvo was our favorite.
We got to see and do everything we wanted to.We are very pleased with your service. In fact, we hope you will do the Baltic countries for us. That will be our trip next summer.

I want to say how much we enjoyed our trip to beautiful Croatia. You created a perfect family vacation, with just right amount of culture and relaxation time. Every detail was so well taken care of, we didn't worry about anything. The drivers and all the guides were very professional, knowledgeable and flexible and helped us understand the history of Croatia and the various places we visited. And the accommodations you chose were perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer, especially in that gem of a hotel in Korcula. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
Here's what my son said: "I loved jumping into the ocean right from the hotel in Dubrovnik. And walking around the wall was really cool. My favorite place was the hotel with the long table (in Korcula). I wish we had stayed there a few more days." Milo Boublik 12 yrs old

Pat and I want to thank you for the great trip you planned for us. It perfectly matched what we were looking for and we hated to come home.
I wanted to pass on some specific comments:
The pace of the trip was just about right. We might have wanted to spend an additional day in Split, but I am not sure what we would have wanted to give up. I was surprised at how much I liked Dubrovnik, when the cruise crowds were not there. We were lucky enough to snag a table on Saturday night at a café near the Cathedral (with very bad food) to listen to the concert with the Tenor Stijepo Gled Markos- the scene was magical!
Guides: While most of the guides were very good, Goran in Rovinj and Stefan in Montenegro were outstanding.
Drivers: We very much enjoyed our drives with our driver from Zagreb to Rovinj (I apologize for not knowing his name) and with Marko in Dubrovnik and appreciated their willingness to indulge our desire to ask a million questions about life in Croatia. We learned so much from them.
Meals: We were blown away by the wonderful food and wine in Croatia. Our cooking experiences TCJ Croatia Immersion - Tastefully at the Esplanade™, in Zagreb with Darko and the TCJ Croatia Immersion - Tastefully at the Lesic Dimitri Palace™ in Korcula were so enjoyable. As you know, I had reservations about the Chef’s Table at the Lesic Dmitri; however, the fabulous food and wine and being hosted by Drazen totally won us over; we had a great evening. Villa Meneghetti was everything you said it would be and more.
As I had requested, Iva made reservations at Zigante for lunch. In retrospect, we should have allowed ourselves more time to roam around Motovun and probably eaten our lunch there. It would have made for a much more relaxed day. Unfortunately, did not have a good experience at Zigante and ended up not staying for lunch.
The seaplane was great-the only time I haven’t worried about flying over the water.
Our day yachting was an incredible experience that we will not forget for a long time. The great crew made it even more memorable. We stopped for lunch at Zori-wonderful ambience and delicious food.
We were very happy with all the hotel accommodations. Your selections were diverse and top quality and we were very well treated by the staff.
I know in your website you stress that you have a concierge on the ground in Croatia. I really didn’t give it much thought. However, it will be very important factor in any future trip I plan. Iva was incredible. We know from our guides, drivers and Drazen, that she was like our personal guardian angel on our travels through Croatia. Pat and I toasted her as we sat in the Venice Residence for getting us the early check in, so we were not sitting out in the teeming rain. What had started out as a miserable day ended up being a fantastic day thanks to Iva.
Thank you so much for making this a trip we will remember.

We had a wonderful time in Croatia. The exceptional room and view at Villa Dubrovnik was awesome. We enjoyed our boat taxi to the Old Town. The driver and guide were exceptional on our tour up to see the silk worms, a day to remember. Having the private time there was especially grand since we had spent the previous ten days with tour groups. Our driver the following day took us to a unique restaurant where we had oysters and the best fish we’ve ever tasted. Then we had a nice ride to Korcula where we were met and escorted to “our” Palace (Lesic Dimitri Palace) for the night. We relaxed and enjoyed yet another delicious meal overlooking the bay at the LD Restaurant. We took the ferry trip to Split. We found Split to be our favorite city in Croatia. Our hotel, though not the one originally planned, was very nice. The shops in Split were fine, the palace was interesting. Our guide was exceptional. We really liked her and having the private time with her.
The only hitch in the entire trip was when we came in on the ferry. There was no one there to meet us. We managed to contact the hotel and learned that someone had come but without a sign and he apparently was told we were to arrive at 4:30. We arrived at 5:00 and were the last to get off since we had so many luggages. So he came back and picked us up at the corner down from the pier.
If you should ever want to use us as a reference, please feel free to do so.

Hi Wanda & The entire Visit Croatia team!
Thank you so very much for all of your assistance while we were in Croatia. You were simply wonderful. Your entire team made our 15 year wedding anniversary dreamlike and seamless. Everything flowed perfectly. The locations, sites, hotel, and recommendations made us truly feel like we had the insights of a “local”. We loved being in the best locations within each city and the knowledge of local guides.
Now, what’s next?? Are there other areas that you can also provide similar insights? If so, I would love to know.
Thanks so much and looking forward to the pleasure of working with you again soon!

We had a fantastic trip to Trieste, Slovenia and Croatia.
Between your planning and Iva's services during the trip it was of the best executed and enjoyable of the many trips we have taken. We would like to send a gratuity to Iva. What is the best way to do this?
We enjoyed the trip you planned so much that we would like to consider working with you on another trip. Our problem is we've seen so much of the world I'm not sure we can find interesting destinations for us within the geographic areas where your specialties lie. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Again many thanks for all your considerations
