Following this\, the Matija Dedić Trio will take the stage with their concert titled “25/50.” \nSaturday\, November 11\, will feature a jazz vinyl records fair and jazz listening party in collaboration with the Dubrovnik 33/45 association\, starting from 17:30. The evening will continue with the Joe Kaplowitz Quartet\, who will promote their album “The Keyboard Extravaganza” during their concert at 19:30. Later\, at 21:00\, B’s Funstallation will captivate the audience with their concert promoting the album “Hold On.” The night will conclude with a Jam Session. \nOn Sunday\, November 12\, the jazz vinyl records fair and jazz listening party will resume at 17:30\, in partnership with the Dubrovnik 33/45 association. DESCRIPTION:Lovran Chestnut Festival\n\n10/12/2023 to 10/14/2023\n\n\nFood festival in honour of the world’s best chestnuts \nMaruni sweet chestnuts are a cross between the indigenous wild-growing chestnuts and seedlings brought here from the Far East by Lovran seafarers. They owe their distinct taste to the unique local climate. Along with the laurel that gave the town its name\, sweet chestnut is the fruit that has most significantly influenced historical and present-day Lovran. It is set apart by its size and taste\, a result of the fact that it grows extremely well in the dense forests on the slopes of Mount Učka\, where mountain and sea climate meet. \nLovran’s marun sweet chestnut gained fame throughout Europe. It was exported in the 19th century to Italy\, Austria\, Germany and other countries and was regarded as a delicacy by the wealthy guests who visited the town. Marunada is the name of the food festival that takes place every October in honour of this fruit\, which has become a kind of symbol of the town. \nDuring the festival\, which also includes music\, visitors can taste roasted sweet chestnuts as well as desserts and various other specialities prepared with this delicious fruit – even brandy and beer! The prestigious British newspaper The Guardian listed Marunada among its Top 10 European autumn food festivals.

Njegovo iskustvo i vještina\, ali i mašta i hrabrost naveli su ga da kreira nešto potpuno novo – Pianotron. \nPianotron je sastavljen od tri instrumenta- klavira\, mellotrona i pedala na kojima unaprijed isprogramira zvuk koji kasnije pokreće udarcem noge. Svaki taj instrument predstavlja jedan dio Zvjezdanove osobnosti. Klavir predstavlja znanje\, vještinu i mudrost\, mellotron ono razigrano dijete u njemu koje se igra notama\, a pedale onoga koji neprestano traga za nečim novim. \nKoliko god to nemoguće zvučalo\, Zvjezdan sva tri instrumenta svira istovremeno. \nKada svira\, svoju publiku vodi na putovanje kroz različite prizme priče koju pripovijeda notama. Njegov je cilj da publika čuje\, razumije i osjeti cijelim svojim bićem ono što njegova glazba progovara. If you want to get to know me better\, listen to Pianotron\, all the answers are there.’ Zvjezdan Ružić \nThroughout his career\, Zvjezdan Ružić has worked with numerous musicians from different genres. His experience and skill\, as well as his imagination and courage\, led him to create something completely new – Pianotron. \nPianotron is composed of three instruments – a piano\, a Mellotron and pedals on which he pre-programmes the sound that he later plays with his foot. Each instrument represents a part of Ružić’s personality. The piano represents knowledge\, skill and wisdom\, the Mellotron his playful inner child that plays with notes\, and the pedals the one who is constantly searching for something new. \nAs impossible as it may sound\, Zvjezdan Ružić plays all three instruments at once. \nWhen he plays\, he takes his audience on a journey through the different facets of the story he tells with music. SUMMARY:Motovun Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Motovun Film Festival is an annual film festival established in 1999 and held in the small town of Motovun. It usually takes place over five or six days in late July or early August. \nMotovun Film Festival is entirely dedicated to films made in small studios and independent film productions. Founded by film director Rajko Grlić and producer Boris T. Matić\, it was first organized in the late 1990s to fill the gap in cinema repertoire as there were almost none non-Hollywood films in wide distribution in Croatia at the time. The festival program every year consists of around 70 titles from all over the world\, from documentaries to feature films\, short and feature-length films\, from guerrilla-made films to co-productions. \nOver time the festival become widely popular among Croatian youths\, as well as foreign backpackers. Every year during the festival\, a camp for visitors is organized on the foothills of Motovun\, where anybody can put up a tent. The festivalgoers’ camp has become one of the hallmarks of the festival. In January 2007 British newspaper The Guardian described the festival as “a cross between Glastonbury and Sundance.”[1] It is often referred to as “a Woodstock of film festivals”. \nThe festival also grew in status on the festival circuit. From an event that was once considered a “backpacker’s film festival\,” by 2007 it was recognized as one of the two most important film festivals held on the territory of the former Yugoslavia\, along with the Sarajevo Film Festival. \n  \nEXACT DATES FOR 2023 TO BE RELEASED

During Blato Summer Festival you may visit exhibitions of local and foreign artists. The pop and rock concerts by popular Croatian artists are held on the square in front of the parish church. During the Blato Summer\, visitors can learn about the Blato folklore heritage at the performances of V.U. Kumpanija (Knight’s Society Kumpanija). The society performs ancient dances in traditional and picturesque costumes. Very interesting is the scene reconstruction of the battle of Giča held in the year 1571. During the summer Blato organizes the Festival of klap’s of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County\, Mediterranean Movie Nights and Summer Carnival.
