My dear family, friends, colleagues, partners, voyagers, & wanderers,
Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. It is a day which bridges gaps between generations and cultures and a time to reflect on a most intimate human emotion: gratitude.
Although this year has been one of the most challenging I’ve faced, I remain thankful for the many blessings in my life.
I am thankful for the clothes on my back, the roof over my head, good health, the food on my table, the blessing of good wines, and the warm sunshine that this morning illuminates every room in my home.
I am grateful for the compassion and care that still resides in my heart and the hearts of those around me. I am thankful for the fantastic, generous, spectacular friends that share their love with me.
I am thankful for the support of my extraordinary team of “Caretakers of Wonder” and our team of strong and courageous partners in Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Italy, with whom I have weathered the storms of this surreal year.
But most of all, I am grateful that I can feel HOPE; hope for sweeter moments, for healthier times, for generous hearts, and always, for the kindness that I know resides in all of us. I trust that all will be well.
To you all, I wish a tranquil, hopeful, and healthy Thanksgiving.
Let us all be strong and patient as we anticipate better times, stay home, stay safe, and love your neighbors.
