PAYMENT OF THE ITINERARY DEPOSIT CONSTITUTES
ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN

Package Prices and Services Included: Tasteful Croatian Journeys is a travel consultant and supplier; the services are sold as itinerary “packages.” We do not break down the cost of the components that are an integral part of every package. All rates are calculated based on confidential contract rates and include all taxes/VAT, valid for the services requested. Rates are based on the requested number of participants, given dates, the current exchange rate, and local taxes effective on the date the price quotation is presented and subject to change until the deposit has been paid.

All services included in the itinerary package are pre-paid. Cancellations of any segment/component of the confirmed itinerary package due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond the control of Tasteful Croatian Journeys or its contractors, such as delayed or canceled flights, are not refundable or transferable.

Ferry transfers, water taxis, wine tastings, meals, entrance fees, and gratuities are not included in the cost of the itinerary package. Furthermore, vouchers or tickets issued are subject to all laws, conditions, and regulations imposed by local authorities and governmental administration in countries visited. Under no condition will any liability in excess of that dictated by law be recognized.

Itineraries: Accommodations and arranged tours are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond the control of Tasteful Croatian Journeys or its contractors. Every effort will be made to operate itineraries as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. Should any of the service providers identified in the Tasteful Croatian Journeys ‘Travel Notes’ not be available for reasons beyond our control, we will arrange for our approved substitute.

Not included in the quoted price: Travel and personal Insurance coverage; international and internal airfares; the cost of obtaining passports or entry visas; airport departure taxes; excess baggage charges; museum or attractions admissions (unless specified); meals/beverages; sightseeing (including admission/entrance fees) not included in the itinerary; hotel/cruise incidental expenses, room service, and personal expenses such as laundry, communication charges, optional activities, and gratuities.

Passports and Visas: Valid passports are required for international travel. Please make sure that your passport is valid. Non-US citizens should contact their consulate for applicable passport and visa requirements.

You must be in possession of a passport valid for six (6) months after the return from your holiday.

For US-Citizens, passports must be valid for at least six (6) months after the return date of travel outside the USA. Please check your travel documents and make sure all is in order before booking.

Travel Advisories: The traveler’s responsibility is to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings issued by their home country. For U.S. Passport holders, please reference the U.S. Department of State’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov or by phone at 1-888-407-4747.

COVID-19: Tasteful Croatian Journeys has no special knowledge of health hazards, such as the risk of contracting Covid-19, either during the traveler(s)’ journey or at the traveler(s)’ destination. For the latest travel health information, please review the CDC’s information at www.cdc.gov/travel, and the U.S. Department of State’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov, or contact them by phone at 1-888-407-4747. Tasteful Croatian Journeys has no responsibility for COVID-19-related requirements that travel suppliers and governments may impose from time to time, such as health affidavit forms, health screenings before departure or upon arrival, face coverings, or quarantines.

Tasteful Croatian Journeys has no special knowledge of suppliers’ financial condition and no liability for supplier defaults or for recommending future travel credits with suppliers that may be out of business by the time the client tries to use the credits. If requested, Tasteful Croatian Journeys will help obtain any refunds due or rebooking trips using future credits and will charge a non-refundable fee for such services. Tasteful Croatian Journeys strongly recommends trip cancellation and medical insurance, advising that some policies do not protect against cancellation due to pandemics or supplier defaults.

Liability: Tasteful Croatian Journeys and/or its agents act only as agents for the client with respect to all transportation, hotel, and other tour arrangements. In that capacity, Tasteful Croatian Journeys and/or its agents neither assumes nor bears any responsibility or liability in connection with the services or any third-party’s actions in providing travelers’ services.

Tasteful Croatian Journeys and/or its agents act only as agents for the services described upon express conditions that they shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delays, or irregularity, which may be occasioned because of being engaged in carrying out the services described in the individual itinerary packages.

In all cases wherein Tasteful Croatian Journeys is rendering services (i.e., providing vehicles or transportation, meals, guides, tickets, etc.), it acts solely as an agent or intermediary for the owners or contractors. Neither the Management of Tasteful Croatian Journeys, nor any of its employees, contractors, or travel advisor partners, shall be or become liable or responsible in any way for any loss, injury, damage, accident, inconvenience, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect, through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, or as a direct or indirect result of acts of God, Force Majeure, weather conditions, dangers or conditions of the sea, fire, flood, wind, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities de jure or de facto, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist actions of any kind, riots, thefts, animals, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, food poisoning, overbooking or downgrading of services, loss or damage resulting from improper passports, visas, or other documents, mechanical or other failure of transportation, or for failure of any transportations mechanism to arrive or depart on time, or from any causes beyond our control. Tasteful Croatian Journeys cannot accept responsibility for loss or additional expenses due to delay or changes in schedule, or other causes.

Deposit and Payments:

• Tasteful Croatian Journeys charges a non-refundable planning fee for their expertise. This fee is NOT credited to the total cost of the itinerary.
• A deposit of 25% of the total cost of the package is required to confirm reservations.
• Payment in full is required at the time of booking for itineraries totaling less than $6,000 USD.
• If your reservation is made within 90 days of departure, the trip’s entire cost must be paid at the time of confirmation.
• Itineraries, which include villas rentals, private yacht, and/or private airplane charters, require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
• Services are confirmed upon receipt of payment of the deposit.
• Final payment is due ninety (90) days before commencement of delivery of services.
• Our quotes are in U.S. Dollars ($) unless otherwise noted.
• Payment is accepted via wire transfer, check, and major credit card.
• When sending a wire transfer, your bank may charge a wire fee. Please contact your bank to find out more about these charges.

Changes & Amendments:

A $50.00 amendment fee will be charged for each change made to confirmed itineraries.

Should any of the service providers identified in the Tasteful Croatian Journeys travel notes not be available for reasons beyond our control, we will arrange for our approved substitute. No refund will be issued for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind.

Right to Cancellation:

In case of cancellations, the following cancellation conditions will be applied:

• 91 days or more before departure will receive a refund of the deposit paid minus the $1000 administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g., non-refundable villa deposits, charter deposits, broker fees, pre-paid entrance fees, or hotel deposits).
• 90-60 days before the commencement of service will be refunded 50% of the program price.
• 59 days or less will be subject to 100% of the program price and non-refundable.
• Penalties and fees imposed by our suppliers may be additional and, if charged, will be deducted from the above refunds.
• A change of trip date or change of travel destination(s) may be treated as a cancellation, and cancellation fees may apply.
• Notifications of cancellation must be received by Tasteful Croatian Journeys in writing.
• Cancellation costs will be calculated from the date Tasteful Croatian Journeys receives a written request for cancellation.

All services included in the itinerary package are pre-paid to ensure the best quality and availability. Cancellations of any segment/component of the confirmed itinerary package are not refundable or transferable.

Refunds: Tasteful Croatian Journeys will process all refunds as quickly as possible. For refundable deposits that have been pre-paid for services, Tasteful Croatian Journeys will take all measures to ensure the applicable funds are returned and refunded as quickly as possible.

Traveler(s) Requirements: All travelers assume all risks associated with participating in a Tasteful Croatian Journeys’ itinerary. Travelers are subject to and required to abide by local laws. The itinerary may include walking and/or climbing in rugged terrain with steep ascents and descents. On a Tasteful Croatian Journeys’ itinerary, you are likely to encounter uneven cobblestones, farmland, stairways without handrails, unpaved walkways, dirt roads, and stone steps. Some activities are not regulated by any industry safety standards, and you assume all risk. You should come appropriately attired for any type of weather conditions that may exist. You are responsible for monitoring your own dietary restrictions and alcohol consumption. You are also encouraged to check with your health insurance provider to ensure that your coverage extends to international travel. All responsibility for product purchases made during a Tasteful Croatian Journeys’ itinerary rests with you and the product vendor.

The participant represents that neither he/she/they nor anyone traveling with him/her/them has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard to you or other participants of the itinerary.

Modification of Our Terms and Conditions: Our Terms and Conditions may be amended or modified by us at any time, without notice, on the understanding that such changes will not apply to trips booked before the amendment or modification. It is therefore essential that you consult and accept our Terms and Conditions at the time of making a booking, particularly to determine which provisions are in operation at that time in case they have changed since the last time you placed an order with Tasteful Croatian Journeys or reviewed our Terms and Conditions.
