Our Process

1 Your journey begins with a phone call

• The first and perhaps most important step in our process is speaking with you by phone. We want to get to know you as a traveler so that we can design a Croatian interlude perfectly suited to you, and your unique individual needs.

  We’ll ask you questions about your interests, priorities, preferences, pace, and budget. You’ll tell us about your hobbies, your past travels, and what makes you tick.

  Our passion and enthusiasm are sure to shine through as we share our ideas with you and discuss which cities, regions, and activities would be of most interest to you, and why.

  We hope you leave this conversation having learned a bit about Croatia and feeling excited and inspired. It will give us all the information we need to begin composing your itinerary.

  After the conversation, we’ll send you an authorization of charge form for our $250 planning and consultation fee. If and when you’re ready to proceed, simply fill out the form, send it back, and we’ll get started!

2 Proposal for logistics

• We put our expertise and more than 30 years of experience to work in constructing the logistics for your journey to Croatia. Don’t expect a lot of detail. In this stage, it’s only about where, when and how:

  Where will you be?
  When will you be there?
  How do you get there?

  We want to be sure that we have covered all of the areas which are of interest to you, while also allotting you enough time in each location. Once we have drafted the itinerary as we feel works best, we’ll send it to you for your approval.

  If you prefer, we can have another telephone conversation so that we can walk you through the proposal and share our vision with you.

  Once the logistics meet your approval, we can get started on the details which make your trip unique.

3 Secure your booking

• With the basic outline of your trip in place, we can now begin the process of hand-selecting the hotels, guides, drivers, and experiences which are best suited to you. Nothing is left to chance. We’ve traveled the roads you’re about to travel and tested the pillows you’ll be resting your head on. Each decision we make with regard to your trip is intentional and done with your specific needs in mind.

  We have longstanding relationships with our service providers, which have been developed and nurtured over many years of faithful partnership, the basis of which is an understanding of quality and professionalism.

  As your journey takes shape, we are able to provide you with a price for your travel package.

  A 25% deposit will secure your booking. Your balance will due at least 2 months before travel.

4 Travel notes

• Now it’s time for the finishing touches! A few weeks before your departure you will receive your Travel Notes and vouchers. The Tasteful Croatian Journeys Travel Notes contain your complete, detailed itinerary as well as location specific notes with recommendations for shopping, dining, and additional activities.

  At this point we will also introduce you to your Tasteful Croatian Journeys Concierge. Located in Croatia, she will lend support in every instance when needed, including securing tables at your most desired restaurants, obtaining tickets to concerts or other events, and arranging special access experiences.

5 Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

• As you travel through Croatia, your local Tasteful Croatian Journeys Concierge and team in New York will be monitoring your progress, and ensuring a flawless, personalized experience.
