Position Summary

Role: Exclusive Association Freelance – Full-Time Remote Administrative Position at VisitCroatia.com – Tasteful Croatian Journeys

Support: Administrative and creative support for a luxury travel designer team – think in terms of “factotum”

Location: Remote (based in Croatia or Slovenia)

Remuneration: Please include your proposed starting monthly fee based on your ability to meet the criteria outlined below under “Key Responsibilities,” “Skills & Experience Required,” and “You Are.”

Founded over thirty years ago by the 19-time Condé Nast Traveler World Top Travel Specialist for Croatia, VisitCroatia.com – Tasteful Croatian Journeys curates tailor-made, heart-filled journeys that celebrate authenticity and cultural depth. As we grow, we seek a dependable, thoughtful, and dynamic administrative assistant to work closely with our President and Vice President (a top destination specialist named in Travel + Leisure).

This role offers hands-on exposure to all aspects of our business—from client care and itinerary creation to supplier coordination and boutique marketing.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Responding to client inquiries via phone and email, introducing our services, and assessing travel potential.
• Designing and preparing tailor-made itineraries, quotes, invoices, and payment requests.
• Following up with clients in a timely and thoughtful manner.
• Maintaining client travel notes and internal progress reports.
• Communicating with our local partners to confirm bookings and travel services.
• Executing international payments via bank transfers.
• Supporting marketing activities: newsletters, social media, and website updates.
• Developing, sustaining, and curating our network of service providers, products, experiences, and services.
• Skillfully negotiating rates, costs, incentives, commissions, etc.
• Assisting in the execution of creative campaigns and special projects.
• Supporting virtual (and occasional in-person) trade events and meetings.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree or studies in tourism, hospitality, marketing, or public relations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Croatian (Italian is a plus)
• Proficiency with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and general Office tools.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Competence with data entry and basic financial tasks.
• Experience with Constant Contact or similar platforms is an asset.
• Previous travel in the Adriatic region (Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, etc.) is a strong plus.
