Cycling the Konavle Valley
The Konavle region to the east of Dubrovnik is a verdant area of pine trees, and Mediterranean Flora often referred to as the Konavle “Valley.”
This pristine valley is our favorite destination for cycling in all Dalmatia.
Vineyards, orchards, farms, villages, an old mill and a monastery call the beautiful Konavle region home. Two rivers, the Ljuta and Konavocica, flow here, in the shadow of the Sniježnica mountain range, adding to the natural bounty and stunning landscape.
Cycling through the Konavle region is a sensory experience – Fragrant pine and cypress trees fill the air with their aroma. Soft sunlight glows over the top of forests and meadows. The sound of falling water of the river Ljuta echoes. Taste fresh figs, olives and mandarins harvested from ancient orchards. Touch artisanal silk and embroidery, produced here for centuries.
