Plitvice Lakes National Park consists of 16 crystal emerald-blue lakes and streams connected by a series of more than 90 waterfalls set amid tall cliffs. The wooded forest of beech, fir and pine trees surrounding the park is home to deer, bears, wolves, boar and rare bird species. The park provides wonderful opportunities for photography, hiking, cycling and other activities. Even a brief visit allows for breathtaking views and numerous sighting points. Visitors will enjoy leisurely walking the wooden planked walkways, and gentle trails. Take a moment to savor the beauty, and relax.
As with any popular destination, making the most of your experience is about going at the right time, with the right access. Your team at Tasteful Croatian Journeys will guide you to assure your visit to the Park is wonderful.

“A highlight of our trip was our visit to the Plitvice Lakes which my daughter had researched prior to our trip and which was what drew us to Croatia initially. The beautiful turquoise lakes and waterfalls in the middle of a forest were breathtaking – no wonder it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site!”
