This amazing historic house (built in 1938) is on the list of preventative protected monuments as a house of exceptional architectural value. The owners have careful furnished the home with recognized designers and works of art.
In front of the villa there are private garden, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, dining table and lounge chairs. This stunning terrace overlooking the Adriatic sea, beautiful island Lokrum and historic old city will impress all romantic souls.
Living & Dining Areas
The Art Deco Villa Paulina nurtures the concept of interesting and functional spatial design. All interior design elements include recognized international and Croatian designers (Charles&Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Jean Prouvé, Eileen Gray, Foruse, Konstantin Grcic, Hee Welling, Otto Blümel, Maarten Van Severen, Grupa Numen/For Use etc). The paintings and artistic installations in the villa is work by well known artist Nikolina Šimunović. Her main inspiration; to create art as beautiful Dubrovnik and its region.
On the ground floor is a large kitchen, a tavern (dinning room), living room and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. First floor has beautiful designed bedroom with ”en suite” bathroom, salon ( living room/ night bedroom ) and a dining room. On this floor, especially in salon guest will experience the life in this villa for past decades.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
A great night’s sleep leads to vitality and wellness, guests of the villa can choose from top high thread count Egyptian cotton, sateen and damask bed sheets. Fine toiletries are provided in the bathrooms.
The ground floor features a bedroom with ”en suite” bathroom. The second floor has 2 designed bedrooms with ”en suite” bathrooms The Lidija Suite opens to a walk-in balcony with stunning views of the old town and Lokrum island. Hidden behind a wall of sanded glass you will find a turquoise mosaic tiled en suite bathroom with a luxurious bathtub and shower. The Lukša suite enjoys great view of the old town and Lokrum island. There is a comfortable green mosaic tiled bathroom with a bath for relaxation. The second floor also features a lobby, sauna with shower room, and mirror room with luxury bathtub that is connected with attic.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The spacious attic suite is beautifully designed in minimalist white, offering a king bed with ”en suite” bathroom. Book lovers can enjoy reading one of the selections of fine literature in the reading nook. A well-appointed mirror room with a luxurious bath connects to the attic suite with a spiral staircase
Outdoor Living
A spacious terrace on the south of the building holds a heated freshwater pool, for your early morning warm-ups or afternoon swims, with an enchanting view of the Old Town. Next to the pool there are several comfortable lounge chairs, for sunbathing and relaxing in privacy. A teak dining table offers great for al fresco dining with seating for 8. After dinner you can withdraw to the smoking room and sample some of local spirits or a nice glass of wine. The smoking room connects to the stonewalled wine cellar, or as they call it in Dubrovnik, konoba (pronounced konobah). Walk in the garden of herbs, spices and flowers. Pick some, please. It will make an ordinary salad into a culinary masterpiece.

Taste some of the delicious Mediterranean specialties at the taverns and restaurants of the Old City and complete the treat with a cup of coffee in Stradun. Explore the many beaches, hiking and cycling trails, or kayak to Lokrum island. Take the cable car above the old town for panoramic views over Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian coast.
