The Meneghetti Wine Hotel and Winery

Originally known as the Villa Meneghetti, what began as a traditional stone estate has since expanded into a chic hotel with single rooms, suites, residences, and villas. Traditional Istrian Experience

As has been done in Istria since Roman times, the Meneghetti produces premium wine and olive oils. Tastings are beautifully presented and are an essential element to any visit. The outstanding restaurant serves creative, authentic, and expertly prepared Istrian cuisine. Local ingredients are chosen seasonally and highlighted in fresh, healthy dishes fitting of environment from which they come a true, traditional Istrian experience. Relax and take a moment to unwind at the two outdoor pools with sun decks. The main building is home to the Energy Clinic Spa center, an oasis for body and soul. Residences

Each of the 30 residences envelop you in elegant and comfortable contemporary design, surrounded by aromatic gardens, bathed in soft natural light. Some of the residences offer kitchenettes and a private pool for added privacy.

Villas

The villas are built to respect the traditional architectural shape, design, and unique way of life of Istria. A Memory of the Meneghetti

“Denis Ivošević, our friend and Managing Director of the Istria Tourist Board, was the first to introduce me to the “Villa”, as it was then known. Denis was my companion, on what would be a day that has remained a vivid memory for my lifetime.

When we arrived at the gate, passing by rows of Cyprus trees, I was immediately stuck by the stunning beauty and serenity of the estate. The car proceed to the sounds of gravel shifting under our tires, my eyes were drawn ahead as the figure of a stone house began to appear, surrounded by an idyllic expanse of olive groves, spread out in billows of luxuriant emerald in all directions.
One of my most magical and rapturous memories of the day occurred in the garden. We sat down to enjoy a glass of wine, the sun sat low, illuminating the garden with an opalescent glow, and long afternoon shadows. The scent of lavender sweetened the air, as an amazing moment occurred. Butterflies filled the garden, all around us, a kaleidoscope of many-hued wings fluttered in every direction. The moment was pure joy, a bit of magic that can only ensue within an environment in harmony with the natural world.
From this day on, we have followed every step of the way as the evolution of this enchanting place has unfolded; it is a story of award-winning wines and delicate, emerald green virgin olive oil, fine dining, and a spectacular hotel.”
