The Julijan apartment in the heart of Varazdin, Croatia, is as much a representation of the city’s character as it is a short-term rental for travelers. Situated on the top floor of a two-story 18th-century building that’s surrounded by cobblestone streets, the flat overlooks a small garden where more than 50 open umbrellas in bright shades rest on thin metal crisscrossing wires, forming a canopy, and the mishmash of seating includes a white bathtub that the owner, Martin Kaminic, cut in half and fashioned into a bench.

Dear Wanda,

Thank you  for planning a such a great trip for us. We appreciate your diligence in making sure every detail was attended to during our wonderful Croatian vacation. Our drivers and tour guides were perfect, the geography was gorgeous, the walled cities and their history were amazing, the food and wine was divine, and everyone we met was so warm and welcoming – our trip exceeded our expectations!

Croatia and it’s people will have a special place in our hearts, and we will encourage our friends to visit your beautiful country, via “VisitCroatia” of course!
